The application is $189 (one time with free updates) and iPod Touch starts at $199. I use it with my autistic son. The website is http://www.proloquo2go.com. Good to know that there are options that aren't eight to ten thousand dollars!Claudiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05294268619531127049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073791590751032314.post-57824754515789332812010-02-16T09:38:49.815-08:002010-02-16T09:38:49.815-08:00Hi Amy--I agree that this is an adjunct to speech ...Hi Amy--I agree that this is an adjunct to speech therapy. The cost is $100 a year. This is very reasonable considering other devices are over well over that and are not as "kid proof" as the DS--plus the DS holds a charge longer. I work with a girl who has a Dynamite and the charge only lasts 4 hours and it is "in the shop" more than with her. Very frustrating for her because it IS her voice.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12074128127324914952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073791590751032314.post-30857802644163333762010-02-16T06:48:26.996-08:002010-02-16T06:48:26.996-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12757779075047570743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073791590751032314.post-38405178520495254192010-02-16T06:44:21.257-08:002010-02-16T06:44:21.257-08:00I didn't see any cost for using this software....I didn't see any cost for using this software. The other thing is that I think that if a child's parent were to use this software in addition to getting speech therapy that it would be great.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12757779075047570743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073791590751032314.post-80072786274165588752010-02-16T05:44:41.625-08:002010-02-16T05:44:41.625-08:00Hi Penny--I think it is NOT preloaded. If they can get another, same age/same sex child to do it, it will then be more like the child's "voice". I suspect as it gets more used, Nintendo will develop it as people weigh in on what is helpful and what they need added.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12074128127324914952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073791590751032314.post-86235539171393951512010-02-15T19:22:52.625-08:002010-02-15T19:22:52.625-08:00The video is disappointing. I'd like to see it in real life to see what comes pre-loaded and to see how easy it is to modify to get new words and phrases on it.Pennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03646382031666180357noreply@blogger.com
